The members of The Steam Car Club of Great Britain were very pleased to be able to attend the Beaulieu Steam Revival. Committee Member Bill and Rachel Rich enjoy a ride around the estate on the amazing 1875 Grenville Steam Carriage.

Don Wales the driver of the Land Speed Record Steam Car tries the Serpollet 'Easter Egg'.
The Serpollet held the record in 1902 reaching a speed of 75.06 mph
It was good to see Members of the Bexhill-on-Sea. team again,
its been some years since it was last steamed.

Don Wales and Jeff Theobald aboard the 'Easter Egg'.
Its been nearly ten years since Jeff installed the steam plant ready for the
100 anniversary of the original car excceding 54 mph along the sea front at Bexhill-on-Sea.
After this event the car was taken by Jeff and Pauline to many events around the country,
promoting The Birthplace of British Motor Racing, Bexhill-on-Sea.

Nick Moffat had his original Serpollet 20hp on display.
Restoration is on going, the chassis had been used as a farm trailer for many years.

Bernard Green also had his car at the show which was seen cruising the estate roads.

The Land Speed Record Steam Car was on show in the main hall, their team which included Don Wales had invited members of The Steam Car Club of Great Britain to help.
Being the only club involved in this project from the start, our members were able to inform visitors about the inner workings of the car. A Robert Stephenson (look-a-like) builder of the Rocket Railway Locomotive
was also on hand to entertain the visitors.

Our committee member Arthur Thomson had left his White steam car at home But brought his Fowler Showmans Engine 'Lion' instead.
