The Stream Car Club of Great Britain

The 1934 Field Steam Bike Mk 2.
This series of pictures were taken as the bike was restored by the owner Gerry Stoneman.
The restoration, engineering skill,
and speed with which all the work has been done, is a credit to Gerry.

The Field Mk 2 with the Mk 1 to its right as they were when Gerry first bought them.

The twin cylinder, single acting poppet valve engine.

The original boiler, as removed, with all the signs of much use.

Here the firebox has been removed to expose a long abandoned mouse nest.

The burner, you can just makeout the same serrated steel sandwich, as used on the Mk1.

Very interesting multi pass boiler, note the tiny feed water tubes.

The frame, stripped, cleaned, repaired and painted.

Here work has started building up the frame.
