APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Thank you for your interest in the Club.

Our reading of the recent GDPR legislation leads us to believe that I need your signature on the form so an emailed form does not comply.  This may be over cautious, time will tell, but that is our position at the moment.

Please download the appropriate form below, complete it, sign it and mail it to me.
Mike Tuck. Gaff House, Walton Lane, Bosham, Chichester, West Sussex. PO18 8QF

I hope to hear from you shortly.
Mike Tuck, Membership Secretary

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION AND OVERSEAS POSTAGE INCREASES 2023
The membership fee has been static for 17 years and has fallen well behind the cost of inflation while the cost of running the club, printing, postage, website maintenance and insurance have all increased.
At the AGM it was agreed to make the following increases effective from 1st January 2023 . In practice this will fall on the month when your subscription is renewed.

  • A membership fee increase of £10 per year
  • If paying by cheque or bank transfer £35
  • If paying by PayPal £36
  • If paying in dollars $53
  • A postal charge for overseas members of £5 ($6) per year for the magazine payable when your membership is renewed in 2023. If you prefer you can avoid this cost by having each issue of the magazine sent by an email attachment rather than a hard copy. If you want to take this option please contact Mike Tuck by email membership@steamcar.net

In all cases please circle your chosen method of payment and then send this form to the Membership Secretary

General Data Protection Regulation Notice

The Club collects personal data (name, address, email address and telephone number(s)) and it is used by members of the committee to enable the Club to be run in a smooth and efficient way. Contact details (name, address and membership number) will be passed to our printers by means of a secure managed file transfer (MFT) portal to facilitate distribution of the Club magazine and any other communication deemed necessary by the committee. Other data may include bank details and basic vehicle information. The data is stored by electronic means to which our membership secretary has sole access and for which there is secure backup. The Club does not, under any circumstances, supply or sell members' data to anyone, nor does the Club disclose data to anyone other than those on the committee.

You have the right to be given all the personal data held by the Club relating to you – on the receipt of a S.A.E. – and have the right to request that some or all of that data be corrected or permanently removed. Removing data could result in the Club being unable to offer its services to you. On ceasing to be a member, for whatever reason, all your personal details so collected will be totally deleted from the combined membership list after six months.
