I run the website and publicity for the picturesque Stapleford Miniature Railway (SMR) at the exclusive Stapleford Park, near Melton, Leics. The 2 mile long steam railway is maintained and opperated by the Friends of the Stapleford miniature railway (FSMR) and only opens twice per year to the public in June and over the August Bank Holiday, both in aid of the Leics and Rutland hospice (LOROS)
Lady Gretton, (the Lord Lieutenant of Leics) is also president of LOROS as well as owning both the SMR and a delightful Stanley 606-10hp-1911-Roadster.
The Stanley will be present and running at both 2006 events along with steam lorries, traction engines, vintage vehicles etc etc, Anyone able to exhibit a steam car (subject to boiler and insurance requirements) would be most welcome, however non-exhibiters can also caravan the weekend for nominal fees at both events, or turn up on day admission rate our website is www.fsmr.org.uk
