I'm laying out the new garage for our Model 607 - have to get planning permission too which is a pain. How much round the car should I allow for working space - would 3 feet all the way round should be adequate, Many not be able to get anything longer than 18' on the site though.
We may go for a wooden garage to keep costs down - has anyone any experience of insulatien & heating them?
Peter I like plenty of room, but it’s all up to you. I heat my 24 X 32 with a hot air solar heater 10 X 12 mid winter in New England it keeps the garage around 45F
Wooden garages as regarded by the planners as temporary structures so you may not need to get planning permission, even in a conservation area - worth asking. They are excellent from a working viewpoint except as Jeff says for the fire risk.
On another note Peter could you look at your private messages on the forum - I put one there for you last week. Also Jeff is there any way we could get notification of a private message?
