I was interested to see the picture of Doble E19's chassis on the SCCGB website. It is pictured in a couple of books and I had wondered where it was currently located. Who owns owns it?

Alan

Hi Alan,
This information was supplied by Jim Crank...........
Chassis #19. Model E. Emeryville, Calif. Completed in 1924.
Murphy town car body.
Sold to Mrs. Miriam Gerdes Hostetter. Pasadena, Calif. and Pittsburgh, Penn.
Sold in 1936 to Mr. Charles Briar in San Diego, Calif., who scrapped the town car
body and installed a Stearns Knight and later a Buick sedan body.
Then drove around with nothing but a pair of bucket seats.
Sold to Hamilton Greenough, then to Ray Bottimore, to John Shevlin, to
Dr. Schwartz. Then to T. C. Marshall, Sr., then to Carl Amsley then to Robert
Vesley in Florida as a bare chassis. After Vesley’s death his widow sold the chassis
to Mr. Stephen Finn of Los Altos, California
Not restored: but in complete and operating condition.
Present owner is starting a total restoration to Pebble Beach standards, with a new replica Murphy two passenger roadster body.
Present owner: Mr. Stephen Finn, Los Altos, Calif.
