hi i am building a steam pouered milk float i have the engine and have drawn up a boiler but i need help on the design and working of a oil burner and its componets can you help

Charlie,

There are many ways of doing it but for a start look at this site [www.stanleymotorcarriage.com] which gives a good description of how a Stanley vaporising burner works. Although these have been superceded by more up to date pressure feed burners and so on they are about as simple as you can get for a home built set up.
