We made it to Brighton in the Toledo for the first time, after three previous attempts! There were a few problems with the fuel mix gumming up the pilot light, which I have reported in the "different Fuels and blow backs" thread.
Ollie just made it on time in the oldest car the c1888 Truchetet, fired with coke, despite bending a rear axle chain strut just after the start and repairing it by straightening it and bracing with a socket set extension bar and Jubillee clips (!!).
John Brydon also made it with the coal fired c1896 Salvesen that looks like Mr Stephenson's Rocket on the road.
A lot of the Stanleys and Locomobiles and the Milwaukee also made it though sadly Mitch Gross broke a wheel bearing carrier and had to pull out.
Weather was great, for a change, and apparently it was the warmest November day on record.
