I note from the SACA forum that Jim Crank died a week or so ago. Jim was very knowledgeable on all steam car matters, of strong opinion and very forthright. He had huge experience of Doble in particular and for years had been writing a major book on the marque. The SACA forum says there is every reason to think that the final editing of this may be completed and the book published.
He was a major contributor to discussions on the SACA forum and will be greatly missed by the steam car world.
