Hi All,

I have just been informed that the team has carried out the first test run at 9.38am their time, the run was timed at 77mph, the second run was aborted, fingers crossed they will continue to have a good day.

I’ll keep you posted tomorrow morning.

All the best, Jeff.

They have now made a test up to 94.9mph and seem to be on track to sort out the few remaining issues in time for a speed run in a couple of weeks

Cheers
Jerry

The team has now made an unofficial run at 131mph - faster than Fred Marriott's official speed of 127mph!

They are going for an official attempt on 17 Aug - Good luck guys!

Cheers
Jerry

Does anyone know if there is any media coverage planned? - but I guess access at Edwards might make it a bit difficult. Are they making a documentary (of course, we don't want to count our chickens just yet) - but they certainly seem very close now.

Finally, what is the plan for the car after the attempt?

(it would make a great exhibit at GDSF if it could be brought back in time! - oops, perhaps 'the pressure police' might have an opinion or two about that!)

It would take P. William's quite a while to check that one for fuel leaks if it went to the GDSF! I assume he does not use a lighted match!!
