Hi All,
1917 Stanley Steamer model 728, five passenger, 20 hp boiler, 4x5 engine geared 40/60 on 35x5 wheels. Shown 86,000 miles. Comes with extra boilers, boiler tools, engines, axles, steam and water controls and a lot or other parts. for sale on eBay. At a $45,000 reserve, it is going to sell. Located in California.

Even at the $40,000 starting price, no bids were placed. To my amazement, with no bids, it is a no sale.

I believe this is the Stanley that was involved in the Knott's Berry farm LP Gas explosion and fire. (with tragic results) A leaky LPG bottle was in the back seat floorboard - It caught fire!!! The car was full of people. TOM
