thanks Les, it is an excellent point that I will take into consideration, it is another arguement fo rthe shorter glass, as this would allow for the angled connections you mention.

This forum is incredibly helpful for people like me, who although geographically isolated do not feel so with my restoration. When I get mine on the road it will be in large part due to the members of the stam car club and Jeff in particular, all of whom have been so helpful and friendly.
