Anyone any idea how much a condensing Stanley weighs in running order - say a 735B for example? I have to get a winch for an Ifor Williams trailer I've just bought, and though it worth getting one capable of loading a condensing car if necessary

My 1920 735 wt was 4200 Lb.

Rolly - as a matter of curiousity have you weighed the EX? It would be interesting to know how the real weight compares with Stanley's catalogue weight which in many cases seems optimistically light.

I have not weighted the EX as yet.

I also failed to note that my 1920 was a 735A four passenger Touring, the book list it as weighing 3600 LB but it had an 18 inch high steel tube boiler and someone had added large front drum brakes. I also do not remember how much water and fuel was in it at the time.

Mike I got around to weighting the EX.
Dry no water or fuel. 1320 Lb

Kit Fosters book list the EX as
1906 as 1000 Lb
1907 as 1100 Lb
1908 as 1300 Lb

One surprise to me is it is balanced within a ½ Lb on each tire.
