Is this Toy Steam Carriage based on a real car?

I have a toy steam car made of wood. Was it based on a real car?

The toy steam carriage model looks like it is based on the 1885 Amedee Bollee voiturette a vapeur. All the main features (layout, canopy style, steering position, front light and wheel type) match a photograph of that vehicle. My comparison list is not great so there may be another real steam vehicle that was similar. It would be safe to say it is based on a 19th Century steam carriage.
