On October 1 my wife and I flew to London. My friend Grahame met us at the airport, and we discussed my excitement about a planned visit to meet Jeff at his and Pauline's home at Marsten Manor. He met us October 4 in the same cheery and helpful manner that I always found so pleasant when chatting with Jeff on the phone. He was in fine fettle that morning and we shared tea and cookies kindly served by Pauline. Then followed a long tour and conversations on many steam topics as we worked our way around his shop. I could have stayed around all day!
Jeff, dear man, you and Pauline are much in our thoughts and this will continue for a long time. I hope you are sailing on with pilot and burner working flawlessly to keep up a steady 650 psi in your boiler!
