Chain-drive Stanley in England

Hello all,

I've learned of a pair of early steam cars that went to England in the late '70s or early '80s. Maynard Leighton sold them; one was a 1900 Rand, perhaps the very car mentioned in this period article -

Misidentified at the time as a Skene, the Rand was restored, ran the London-to-Brighton, and is now in the Seal Cove Auto Museum.

But the other car was a chain-drive Stanley. As the keeper of the Stanley Register, I'm very curious about that one. Does anyone recall this car arriving in England? Any idea where it may be now?

Thanks,

Hi Kelly,
I dob't know where the Stanley is but the Skene/Rand that is now in Seal Cove Auto Museum was once owned by Reg Parsons. Do you know if Seal Cove Museum will use it?

I think there's a good chance. Sue Davis is Seal Cove's steamer consultant, and she apparently drove this car in the past.
