I do not have a vast knowledge of original casings, I borrowed a 10 HP wet engine case as a guide to make the one for my dry 10 HP engine.
Non ferrous gauge thickness is different then ferrous gauge metal.
Most of the case was 20 gauge non ferrous copper 0.0320 I did use 16 gauge 0.0508 and some 0.125 strap in some places, but for the most 20 gauge with the edges folded over.
