Following the resignation of Basil Craske as Chairman of The Steam Car Club of Great Britain the committee is pleased to announce that Harold Bell has accepted its invitation to fill the post of interim Chairman with immediate effect until the next Annual General Meeting. Harold has great experience in such work, having been Chairman of the East Riding Engine Club for more than twenty years, Director of Driffield Steam Rally Ltd and he was instrumental in formulating our Club’s constitution.
Professionally progressing to Fleet Engineer and Transport Manager for a large Nationalised Industry, Harold's hobbies include restoration of steam vehicles and restorer and owner of a Super Sentinel steam waggon for 30 years before acquiring a Stanley Model M in May 2010.
The committee welcomes Harold to the Chairmanship and looks forward to the club making constructive progress under his leadership.
