Locomobile locosurrey

I am restoring a locomobile c 1900 that appears to be a 4 seater locosurrey but only has one spring at the front instead of the usual arrangement of 2 front and back. It does not look as if the chassis ha been extended from a 2 seater model although the coach work has been renewed. Can anyone tell me if any three spring locosurrey so we're made or has it been altered? I will try and upload some pictures.
