Happy new year everyone
Does anyone know of a UK equivalent to the Fiberfrax Caulk sold by Vintage Steam Products in the US. Can't find any suppliers over here, and need to reseal smoke hood and burner where steam pipes pass through.
HI everybody
another possible product . WWW.fgflimited.co.uk WWW.morganthermalceramics.com
have just bought from FGF LIMITED Bristol branch ( our local distributer , Ithink they have other depots around the country) ,some MORGAN thermal ceramics ,SUPERWOOL 607 HT paper rated at
1300 degC 4mm thick X 500mmwide X10M roll, and some SUPERWOOL HT mastic also 1300 0C ( usefull for filling those small gaps ,and probably neater than fire cement ) they also do a felt but i think that starts @ 6 mm . Havent tried it yet though ? as am still making bits for the car , will let you know if it all catches fire !!
