Stanley Steamer engine picture history

Hello,

I am looking to see if there are any pictures depicting the engine evolution for the Stanley Steamer.

Looking for the differences in construction/look/evolution (apart from piston size) for the 6.5 hp, 8hp, 10hp.

I have seen the 20hp engine evolution post by Douglas Kephart (Great article):

Wondering if there is one for the earlier engines.

Thanks in advance

If you want to learn about Stanleys, I would highly recommend the Kit Foster book that is avaliable. It is quite expensive, but it is very informative and accurate on both technical and historical matters (I have no vested interest in the book, but have read it cover to cover). Here's the link: [www.amazon.co.uk]

Don't think the link is working, but the name of the book is The Stanley Steamer America's legendary Automobile by Kit Foster.

This book appears semi-regularly on eBay, for surprising prices.

The Stanley Museum still has copies, $50 for the standard hardbound. (A leather-bound is also available.) It would be nice to support them directly. Their website seems to have gone off the air, but here is their Facebook page -

If you can't make contact this way, send me an email address and I will forward it to Debbie Smith at the Museum.
