Has anyone produced a maintenance and serving book for the Stanley non condensing?
i.e how often to clean pilot burner and main jets. Best way to remove and replace burner pan.

Have not come across anything than contemporary manuals and technical articles in Stanley Magazine and SCCBB magazine.

I only tend to clean pilot burner and main jects when they play up - former occasionally (burning hexane) latter very frequently - but less since multi-port juts fitted (see Vintage Steam Products website for examples).

Mike, there was an article entitled 'readying the non condensing Stanley for reliable touring' by Art Hart which was published in the Stanley Museum Newsletters 'steam talk', 1998. If you haven't got a copy I can e-mail the article to you. just let me have your e-mail address.

Hi, Thanks for your info. I am not able to find multi-port jets in the catalogue.
But my pilot does have a cast block with about 5 rows of ports all about 1.5 mm.
The Vaporizer Pipe weld failed, so I had to have it re-welded and in refitting burner unit I found the inner needs to be replaced. I need a 10 year boiler test this winter so I will do it then.
