I am doing a little plumbing on our car, what wall thickness 1/4" and 5/16" copper tube is normally used for steam and water lines?

Hi Peter, the following link will provide you with all you need to know about copper tubing, a very helpful technical dada book, free for anyone to download. Heritage steam supplies and many other engineering suppliers sell annealed coils at 20 swg. hope this helps.
