It is with great sadness that I report the death of Steve Baldock on the 1st of November 2018, he was a great engineer and well known to many in the model engineering and full size steam fraternity, always willing to give advice and help, he will be missed. Our condolences to all his family - RIP Steve.

Harold Bell

Harold - what a shock. Steve was brilliant - his "models", some of them huge, were superb as were his two Stanleys. I first came in contact with Steve at the Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition where he was showing a massive steam engined crawler tractor. I believe he was the mechanical leader in developing the Likamobile kit as he visited me wondering whether they could offer a Stanley Model H in kit form. So sorry to hear he has gone.
