Cracked burner plate.

I have the boiler out of the 30Hp Stanley for its 10 year test, and have found that the burner plate has a crack along a row of the burner holes, whilst I’m aware if the problems associated with the welding of carburised cast iron etc. has anyone out there ever successfully repaired one?

I can highly recommend the Cast Iron Welding Company, they welded my Stanley cylinder block (see my article in the steam car mag of a few years back)

I've had work done by them and was very impressed that their first action when I took the job in was to photograph it and attach a copy to the paperwork so no chance of anything getting lost. The job was a success.
