I am going to specify a stock colour for the repaint of Stanley 7644's body - can't get an exact match to the original (and probably well cooked) paint on the hood but may settle for

ICI autocolour Royal Blue 0114

ICI Autocolour Schwartzblau 2386

I want to use a stock colour to make any repainting easier!

Anyone got any thoughts about this - have to decide this week!

Russian Blue is like a dark royal blue. Here is the USA we have been using these paint numbers:
PPG Deltron Acrylic Urethane DAU 13599 (Information from Bill Stryker) Used as the modern equal for Russian Blue used by the Stanley Motor Carriage Co.

here in the UK - our suppliers called it Ford Motor Co North America Police Blue W 8161 H - and I have got a sample chip.

Problem solved!

Its quite similar to the ICI Autocolour Royal Blue, but is definitely bluer when you put them side by side, especially in natural light.
