Stanley 735B - For Sale by Auction
Cheffins Auctioneers in Cambridge have recently discovered a Stanley 735B steam car in the heart of the Industrial Black Country. This car will come to auction with Cheffins on 28 April 2012.

The car identity would appear to be chassis 19376 (this gleaned from ancient documentation rather than direct from the vehicle), purchased as a chassis and a subsequently purchased correct body. The Ashton Valve Company gauge No. is 382726. As far as can be ascertained this would make both halves of 1919 date. Unfortunately the owner died several years ago and the family only have anecdotal knowledge of the car. Clearly it was mid-restoration and a new boiler and fittings are in place. Other parts are hiding and it is hoped they will be found, along with some more paperwork.
