Stanley 30hp boiler, finished with all new lagging.
Ready for a steam test as soon as weather permits

Boiler under test, Feb 08, Note pressure gauge at 900psi!
The 30hp Stanley boiler with burner, lagging and smoke box removed,
cleaned and given a coat of heat proof paint. Under the watchful eye of our local boiler inspecter

Its that time of year again, (2008) here the 30hp Stanley boiler with burner and smoke box removed
ready for a good clean, and be prepared for its anual test
The burner is now running about right, as the lower tube ends were lightly covered with a grey dust

This winter I hope to find time to complete the Keen, after being put to one side for some time,
it was good to find that fitting a battery, switching on and we were steaming around the estate
before putting the car in the main working area, work is almost complete to the interiour
and work to complete the bodywork is continuing with panels being fitted.

This week I have been making new pancake coils for the Fox,
there was room in the flue to get another 45 feet of 3/8" copper tubing in.
The boiler is back together, I hope to test it this weekend.

At last the little 10hp Stanley is up and running again,
Steven took it for its first runs today, few minor adjustments needed.
and it will be ready to go.

I have found some time to do some more work, fitting a new boiler and burner to a 10hp Stanley
Here is the new burner set up and ready to fit.

Its that time of year again. (2007)
Cleaning and testing the boiler in my Stanley 30hp.

This boiler is to be set up to test a new engine in the south of England.
Here set up with the hydraulic test rig, with pressure at 450psi.

Boiler maintainance on the Stanley 30hp, cleaning the smoke box and dip tubes.
We are out in this car every weekend, with the good weather here.

New boiler lifted into position, next job sort out pipework.
With so much going on, work is progressing but very slowly.

New engineer started work in the workshop.

1924 Brooks yearly boiler checkover and test.
Preheat water feed coil above boiler.

New arrival at the workshop
Stanley type 85.

Work on the Hart has re-started
Here the water automatic has been reassembled with new copper gaskets
this unit controls the water level in the lower boiler, stopping the flow of water, when the level is correct.

One of three gauge glasses can be seen mounted on this unit

The Rolls Royce has sold!
trouble is it's buried at the rear of the workshop.
You can just see it behind the 735.

Took a whole day to get it out.

Originally fitted with a two seater body by Crosbie & Dunn
Seen here outside the workshop after being in storage for many years.

1902 Locomobile engine complete with displacement lubricator
Just arrived from the U.S.A.
